Day 44 April 17

A beautiful day for our drive from the Roswell area north to Bandalier National Monument. After waiting for a really long train to pass outside of Roswell,

we were on our way. We stopped at a rest area for a couple of letterboxes. (if you don't know about letterboxing, check it out here.   The clues to one of the boxes had some great info on tarantulas, and we saw this sign where we parked....hmm... The scenery changed pretty dramatically once again as we traveled north. We could see multiple mountain ranges around us, some snow covered. We arrived at Bandalier around 5:30, and set up camp at 6600 ft. elevation. It seemed we had more than a few stow-aways... the moths that were everywhere at the last site kept appearing in the camper, one after another for about an hour while we were playing cards. Anna was catching them in a glass and letting them outside.

You know you are not in Rhode Island anymore.
