Upon further inspection, we discovered that the tire caused a little more damage than we first thought. Still nothing major, but we did spend most of the day getting supplies and working on repairs. The supplies were: two sheets of galvanized sheet steel, some screws, a pair of tin snips, and a special bit. That was not enough though we ended up having to buy an electric drill the next day when the screws ran into a metal part of the frame in some spots. Part of the tire actually made it into the compartment under the bunk beds and broke the housing of the fan on the furnace! Jane and Anna got caught up on schoolwork and music practice.
Later in the evening, we dyed Easter eggs.
