Day 26 March 30

Day 26 March 30
We drove to Fort Pickens which is near Pensacola Florida and part of the National Parks, it was a rough drive in the pouring rain and we saw lots of accidents. I would hate to see how many there would have been if it was snow!
Along the way we stopped at Ponce de Leon springs. Ponce de Leon is the explorer who searched for the "Fountain of Youth". It did not make me any younger.
The beach here is amazing; we liked the place so much we
decided to spend two extra days to be able to see all the sights. There are several cool places to visit, like the huge Naval Air museum, a very tall lighthouse, two civil war forts, World War II beach emplacement and the beach. I can’t wait to show some of the pictures.
We are in a zone with no Internet service that is why the updates are slow in coming. We are still in a limestone area so the geology is still the same next week we head to Enchanted Rock in Texas an igneous rock formation. We did not do much today but drive, we did walk to the beach after we set up.
