Day 24

March 28

If we thought the water here was amazing yesterday, there are no words left to describe it today.
We went shopping this morning and bought goggles and an underwater camera. We went back to the springs for a swim and the visibility was unbelievable. The log in the picture is 30 feet down in the water. You could see people 100 feet away underwater as if you were standing next to them. (The photos are on a film camera, so it might be a while before we can post them.) We captured some fireflies and found that they are the same species we have in Rhode Isand. The other beautiful aspect of this place was the lack of crowds. True, we were craving some personal space after the days in Orlando, but it was hard to believe how few people were at this beautiful place. In the evening, there were a huge number of
fireflies at the campsite. What a beautiful place!
